Taipei City’s unique urban charm owes much to its abundant cultural resources and sound industrial structure. This year(2025), the international metropolitan music festival TRENDY TAIPEI carries the slogan "It's Now”, emphasizing the creative and explosive possibilities of the present moment. Opening on August 25th, the festival will continue for 14 days until September 7th, connecting music, art, audio-visual entertainment, technology, gaming, and fashion. With a deep foundation of pop music as its core, it connects local and international industrial resources, with a goal of building trends across Asia and shaping Taipei City's status as an international cultural hub. The festival is divided into three major areas: the Concert Economy, Industry Trends and Urban Action. It connects 14 events, turning Taipei into a 24-hour non-stop performance venue. For the Concert Economy, it partners with private enterprise to hold high-quality ticketed concerts at Taipei Arena, assembling up-and-coming stars from Taiwan, Japan,and South Korea, while Taipei Music Center has also put together a festival of Asian music that gathers representatives from 10 countries in the Asia-Pacific region in Taipei. Industry Trends brings together international forums, exhibitions, events, and markets,exploring cross-disciplinary collaboration from different perspectives and outlining future possibilities for the cultural industry. Urban Action connects live houses, giving people the chance to encounter music in different corners of the city, highlighting music’s role as a cultural language and integrating creativity into the rhythms of life. TRENDY TAIPEI is not just another event, but a concrete demonstration of Taipei City’s continuous innovation. It aims not only to bear witness to current trends but also to set new trends and help define the future!
