The Taipei Department of Cultural Affairs (DOCA) has put forth the "Application Guidelines for Filming Subsidy," which stipulates the application acceptance period falls annually in April and October. All movie production companies, acting in accordance to all laws and regulations of the Republic of China, are eligible to apply for filming in Taipei or using depictions or images of Taipei in movie backgrounds.
