Evaluation for designation as an historical site is determined according to a combination of the following criteria: (1) Historical, cultural, artistic, scientific, commemorative or academic value; (2) existence for a significant period of time; (3) relation to a significant historical event or historical figure; (4) representative of special qualities, techniques of a certain era, a certain school of architecture or the special qualities of a certain locality; (5) quantity; (6) state of preservation; (7) size; (8) surrounding environment; (9) other relevant criteria.
