The Glory Days of Taiwan’s Pop Music Scene

The Glory Days of Taiwan’s Pop Music Scene

Cast your mind back to the late 1970s.

Taiwan was the center of the Chinese pop music industry,

reaching over a billion listeners across Hong Kong, Macao, Singapore, and Malaysia,

all of them avid for Taiwan music releases.

Through audiovisual records of oral histories from veteran musicians,

we collected over 239 life stories

setting down the history of Taiwan’s music development

and eventually editing them into two short, highly anticipated films.

Interesting fun trivia from the filming process,

We can’t wait for you to experience it in person.
