Theme: Craftsmanship and Innovation in Old Houses

This year’s Taipei Historic Sites Day is hosting the Old Houses Photography Contest, with the theme “Craftsmanship and Innovation in Old Houses”. We invite enthusiasts of old houses and photography to explore Taipei’s historical buildings, capturing in images the architectural beauty of these old houses and the restoration process. 

Submissions are open from August 14 to October 12. The best three entries will receive the top prizes, with 5 honorable mentions, 20 excellent works, and 20 selected works. The first prize winner will receive a generous cash award of up to NT$30,000. The total prize pool is NT$100,000. Winning entries will also be exhibited at the Taipei Info Hub from November 26 to December 24.

1.    Content of submission: Entries should focus on people, events, or objects associated with old houses in Taipei City (not limited to cultural heritage buildings).

2.    Please share a personal story in 100 words or less.

3.    Photographing Old Houses: Include at least one photo of the designated contest building.
