The 2021 Taipei Busker Carnival

The 2021 Taipei Busker Carnival will be held on October 23 and 24 in popular outdoor spaces at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, including Cultural and Creative Street and Palm Avenue. The theme of the event is “Street Arts Progression: Creation of Marvelous Street Experience.”
About a hundred top buskers in Taiwan have been invited to take part in this large-scale event and show off their skills in Taipei’s streets: including Lee Ke-Ying, a superb drummer, Wu Haw-Jong, a top diabolo performer, Yang Shih-Hao, a skillful huge hula hoop performer, Annie & Taco, a sweet-voiced female vocal duo, and more.
The event will consist of two major areas: a stage and a “street arts gallery.” On the stage, buskers will give shows in the style of performance art, while the street arts gallery will be the domain of handicraft and visual art presented by artisan-buskers. In total, 36 shows and 60 handicraft and visual arts presentations will be given during two days.
The people of Taipei are invited to spend a delightful, cool autumn afternoon in the park and enjoy the versatility of Taipei buskers, an experience that will leave them with a deep impression of this unique “Street Arts Progression.”
