At this year’s Cinematography Forum, renowned cinematographer Yu Jing-Pin will be the featured speaker. Acclaimed for her work on Better Days (少年的你), which won Best Cinematography award at the Hong Kong Film Awards, Jing-Pin will speak on the topic, “Image and Story: Photographers and the Visual Arts in Filmmaking”. During the discussion, the forum will explore various aspects of the visual arts within cinematography, including the artistic representation of images in film, the challenges and achievements of cinematography, and experiences of international collaboration and cultural exchange.


Another esteemed speaker will be Yov Moor, a prominent French colorist. His portfolio includes works such as Mustang (少女離家記), which was selected for the Directors’ Fortnight Unit at the Cannes Film Festival, Happening (正發生), recipient of the prestigious Golden Lion Award at the Venice Film Festival, and Jinpa (撞死了一隻羊), which received nominations at the Golden Horse Awards and Asia Film Awards for Best Director. Moor’s topic will be, “The Journey of a Self-Taught Colorist: Reflections, Questions, and Revelations”. The discussion will revisit Moor’s experience of color grading, address questions related to color grading work, and give insights into the inner workings of the color grading industry.
