Since 2007, the Taipei City Government Department of Cultural Affairs has sponsored the Taipei Jazz Festival and successfully built the festival into an urban music brand. International exchange allows Taipei, with its unique ambiance, to bring its jazz to the international stage, while the jazz lovers of Taipei have the opportunity to enjoy world-class improvisation, harmonization, and syncopation.
 
The slogan for the 2021 festival is “Jazz is life. Chill jazz. Cheers moment”. One-day mid-sized outdoor concerts will be held at Tianmu Zhongcheng Park on November 27 and in the square at Nangang Base, Taipei Music Center on December 4. From December 10 to 12, a three-day large-scale outdoor concert will be held on the Music Stage at Da'an Forest Park. All concerts are free.
