The 10th Taipei Film Academy, scheduled for September 2023, will feature a diverse lineup of events, including the International Filmmaker Forum, Filmmakers Workshop, Digital World Forum, and Cinematography Forum. Esteemed film professionals from Taiwan and abroad have been invited to speak. Their presence will help create a bridge between Taiwanese filmmakers and the global film community, expanding Taiwanese filmmakers’ international perspective and enhancing the visibility of Taiwan’s film industry on the world stage. The academy also aims to nurture the next generation of Taiwanese film talent.

Since its inception in 2014, the Taipei Film Academy has achieved remarkable success. Past years have seen renowned figures such as internationally acclaimed director Ang Lee, producer Jerry Bruckheimer, former Pusan International Film Festival chairman Kim Dong-Ho, master cinematographer Lee Ping-Bing, Rodrigo Prieto, cinematographer on Silence (沈默), Charles Tesson, former artistic director of La Semaine de la Critique at the Cannes Film Festival, Erik-Jan de Boer, the renowned visual effects supervisor who received an Oscar for Life of Pi (少年Pi的奇幻漂流). These film industry veterans have helped to cultivate talent within Taiwan’s film and television landscapes, earning high praise. Anticipation for the upcoming events is high, and this is an opportunity not to be missed.
