After over a decade, Backstreet Festival (後街文化祭)—the hottest annual cultural event of Taipei Cinema Park and leading street art festival in Taiwan—will return to Ximending (西門町) this summer holiday!
The 2022 Backstreet Festival will extend from Taipei Cinema Park to Ximending, birthplace of Taiwan street culture, from July 23 to August 21. Under the banner of “Backstreet · Youth Trends: Back! (後街‧青潮Back！)”, a series of free street culture activities have been planned, including graffiti, hip-hop, skateboarding, film screenings, and other cultural experiences.
Trendy lifestyles are not exclusive to young people alone but should be the spiritual expression of life for all adults today, allowing us to express our creativity, self-exploration, and life aesthetic, moving past the barriers of trend culture to get to know creatives and experience street culture.
This summer, Taipei Cinema Park invites parents, children, families, young people, and the general public to unleash their taste for contemporary street culture in the post-pandemic era, coming back together to the trendiest zone of life and culture.
